University sports
The UOC encourages sports activities in the university community by participating in university championships. It also offers a programme to help high-level sportspeople combine their sports careers with their studies.

Take a look at the regulations for the different championships and competitions, and the conditions for special programmes, to see if you meet the requirements and can sign up to take part.
The UOC only participates in the university sports that fall within the remit of Esport Català Universitari (ECU).
Catalan University Championships
Whether students on postgraduate programmes can take part depends on the specific regulations for each championship. You can find the regulations on the Esport Català Universitari website.
Coming together as an entity called Esport Català Universitari, the twelve Catalan universities organize the Catalan University Championships on an annual basis. The UOC competes in sports events where participation is individual, in teams of two or three, and in eSports.
The entry requirements and the full information for each sport can be found on the Catalan University Championships web page. If the rules for the sport that interests you have been published, you fulfil the requirements and the sign-up period is open, you can apply to take part:
For participating in university and interuniversity sports competitions, you can request a prior studies assessment for recognition of credits (1 credit per event). For further information, go to Procedures / Recognitions and validations / Request prior studies assessment.
You can also apply for a subsidy for your travel costs (€0.07 per kilometre), limited to 100 euros per journey. Applications for the subsidy must be made after taking part in the competition, and are calculated based on the competition location and your usual address. Your usual address is the one that appears in Personal area / Personal information. If your travel is only within the Barcelona metropolitan area, you will not be eligible for the subsidy.
