Accem
Accem is a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-denominational organization with over 35 years of experience in social action, working to improve the living conditions of vulnerable people. Accem advocates for equal rights, duties, and opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation and identity, religion, opinion, or social group. It promotes a diverse and cohesive society through an intercultural approach and comprehensive actions that foster equal rights, participation, and empowerment.
It has offices across Spain.
It promotes actions to support various vulnerable or at-risk groups, providing assistance to the following communities:
- Refugees: language learning, social mentoring, administrative guidance, employment support, cultural and sports activities, educational support.
- Migrants: Spanish language learning and digital literacy, career guidance, mentoring, leisure and community involvement activities, school support, intercultural awareness.
- Homeless individuals: social support, leisure and cultural activities, digital assistance, job placement, group workshops, community participation.
- Elderly people: companionship and conversation, loneliness prevention, new technologies, intergenerational activities, leisure and cultural events, memory work and life stories.
- Vulnerable children and youth: educational support, leisure and free-time activities, mentoring, sports, emotional education, academic and career guidance.
- Victims of human trafficking: language learning, group activities, safe leisure spaces, digital skills, employment support, community integration.
- LGTBIQ+ community: support groups, peer mentoring, cultural activities, safe meeting spaces, community participation, awareness-raising.
- Mental health and disability: social accompaniment, inclusive leisure, artistic and sports activities, support for autonomy, community involvement, digital assistance.

Recognition of volunteer activities
If you are enrolled on a bachelor's degree, you can apply for credit recognition for your volunteer time as long as you have participated with one of our partner organizations.
