Accem

Accem is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization that works to improve the living conditions of people in vulnerable situations, particularly migrants and refugees.

It has offices spread throughout the Spanish territory. The main areas of action are:

Socio-educational training: support in the planning and realization of various workshops such as knowledge of the context in the host society, the realization of social skills workshops, on the promotion of autonomy and personal development, health workshops, workshops psychosocial, environmental and gender equality workshops.

Support in temporary shelters: in social and health support, and in administrative management, in monitoring coexistence in shelters, foster homes, children's centers, etc. and support in center maintenance and conservation activities and stewardship actions.

Support for socio-labor insertion: in the accompaniment of socio-labor insertion itineraries, in the planning and realization of labor pre-training workshops and computer literacy workshops and in the search for information, research and preparation of didactic materials.

Care in day centers and settlements: support in information actions, guidance and advice, in actions of direct attention and social intervention and in the provision of basic services (canteen, luggage, clothes, food, etc.).

Training in language learning: school support, support in Spanish training, support in literacy courses, support in training in the language of the autonomous community (Catalan, Galician, Valencian, Basque), support to communicative competence: language exchange, support in training in knowledge of the socio-cultural environment, support in the search for information and in the research and development of didactic materials.

Legal advice: support in actions of information, guidance and advice, in actions of gathering information to document the situation of countries sending refugees, in the compilation of jurisprudence on asylum and foreigners and in actions of accompaniment in the legal field

Support in leisure and free time activities: support in the planning and carrying out of sports activities, leisure and free time activities and in the carrying out of cultural activities.

Recognition of volunteer activities

If you are enrolled on a bachelor's degree, you can apply for credit recognition for your volunteer time as long as you have participated with one of our partner organizations.
