Asociación Educación, Cultura y Solidaridad
Educación, Cultura y Solidaridad launched its activities in San Cristóbal de los Ángeles (Madrid) in 1991, aiming to serve as a hub for adults, youth, and children of all cultural backgrounds, ages, and religions.
Volunteering initiatives are structured around children, teenagers, young adults, and adults in the San Cristóbal de los Ángeles neighborhood.
You can collaborate on the following projects:
Learning Together Project (Proyecto Aprendemos Juntos / Junt@s):
Provide women over 18 from diverse backgrounds with essential Spanish language skills for social and workplace integration. Supply them with practical tools to navigate vulnerable situations: basic literacy and numeracy, public transport navigation, and handling everyday errands like doctor visits, shopping, school admin, public administration, or returning to education.
Academic support for children and teenagers aged 7 to 17 in STEM fields (mathematics, physics, and chemistry) and communication skills (literacy and reading comprehension).
Sports and recreational activities that foster social cohesion, personal skills, positive values, and healthy leisure alternatives.
@Impulsa Project:
Equip working-age individuals—focusing on women from diverse backgrounds—with soft skills and basic digital competencies for active job hunting and socio-labor inclusion. Provide practical tools for employment market challenges: email usage, job portal registration and management, job interview preparation, and independent resume updating.
Caring Strokes Project (Proyecto Trazos con cuidado):
A community project using the Zentangle art and relaxation method as a tool to foster emotional wellbeing, self-care, and mutual support. It aims to prevent and manage stress and anxiety, strengthen neighborhood bonds, and encourage community participation through creative, collaborative spaces. The project combines training workshops, independent practice groups, and reflective sessions on health and gender. It primarily targets adults in the Villaverde district—with a focus on women carrying caregiving burdens or experiencing emotional distress—building sustainable community support networks.
Volunteer requirements for the Caring Strokes project: candidates with training in Fine Arts, Audiovisual Media, or Education. Experience in digital skills (Canva, social media, photography, and graphic design) is highly valued.
Time commitment: 2 hours per week. Shifts are available in both mornings and afternoons, with flexible scheduling agreed upon with the organization.
Volunteering duration (start-end): preferably one full academic year.
