Spiral Association: education and technology

The Spiral Association is a group of teachers, people with technical training, researchers, students and entities, interested in the promotion and application of information and communication technologies to education (ICT). The Technovation Girls programme is an initiative led in Catalonia by the Spiral Association, who represents this programme in Catalonia on behalf of the American NGO Technovation. Its objective is to promote digital entrepreneurship and STEAM careers among young girls and adolescents, aged 8 to 18, through their participation in Technovation Girls.

The programme invites teams of up to 5 girls and a mentor to invent a mobile app that could improve the world. The teams work in a controlled process to identify a need in their environment, think of a designed solution and programme a mobile app to help address this need. Being a mentor in the Technovation programme is an opportunity to support the teams of girls and form part of a community of individuals working to promote technology-based careers.

Calls open. Immediate incorporation. Incorporation planned after the selection of the candidates. Positions are limited depending on the groups of girls that can be organized territorially. As far as possible, virtual mentoring groups will be organized.
