Associació Quilòmetre Zero
The Quilòmetre Zero Association has over ten years of experience running social mentoring projects in the Tarragona region, aiming to combat social inequalities through individualized mentoring for children, young people, and groups at risk or in situations of social exclusion.
It collaborates on the following projects:

The Rossinyol Project: Are you between 18 and 30 years old? Do you enjoy supporting children in their learning and have one free afternoon a week?
Join the Rossinyol Project! It’s a socio-educational mentoring program where you can make a real difference in a child’s life.
During the school year, you’ll spend one afternoon a week with a child in a vulnerable situation with the goal of having fun and exploring your surroundings! Activities might include visiting museums, playing in the park, going for walks, watching movies, or practicing Catalan. These leisure moments help support the child’s personal development and integration into the local community.
No prior experience or expertise is required! The most important thing is your willingness to learn. Throughout the project, you'll gain valuable skills and learn many new things.
There are available spots to be a mentor in cities such as Tarragona, Valls, Cambrils, Vila-seca, Salou, Reus, and Montroig.
The AmbTu Project: Are you over 30 years old? Do you enjoy listening, guiding, and supporting others?
Join the AmbTu Project, a social mentoring program that supports youths who are in or have left the child protection system during their process of becoming independent. These are young people who have spent much of their lives in protective care and, upon turning 18, must face adult life without a family support network.
As a mentor to one of these youths, you’ll spend time together, help them navigate everyday challenges, and offer a safe and trusting space to talk. You might go for walks, chat, enjoy leisure activities, and support them in decision-making (choosing studies, tackling their first jobs, etc.).
Meetings will take place once a week or every two weeks, depending on your availability. A minimum commitment of 9 months is expected.
There are available spots in Tarragona and Reus.
