Code Club a les biblioteques
Code Club
Code Club is an international network seeking to make computer programming available to all children, regardless of their social or family situation.
At Code Club, children and adolescents have the opportunity to become creators rather than consumers. They work in teams and use Scratch, a simple block-programming language, and develop logical thinking, creativity and cooperation.

There are currently two organizations promoting Code Club in Catalonia. They are partner organizations with the UOC: Colectic and Fundació Bofill. They're both looking for volunteers to boost the Clubs' activities for children and adolescents at different venues around Catalonia.
Volunteers must have good digital skills, a clear vocation for working with children and adolescents and a desire to accompany them in this learning process. A minimum dedication of 50 hours, over 3 to 5 months is also required.
The organizations promoting Code Club will provide basic training, guides to help carry out the activities and a person you can turn to for support.
Code Clubs form part of the strategies to bridge socio-digital divides and prioritize neighbourhoods and towns with a high risk of poverty (see list of locations on the registration form).
The location of the Code Club determines which of the two organizations UOC students volunteer with. Fundació Bofill organize extracurricular activities at schools, and Colectic, organize workshops with social organizations and at libraries, Punts Òmnia and Punts TIC.
If you want to take part in Code Club, check out the available locations and send us your details via this form (available only in Catalan).
