Spanish Red Cross is an humanitarian institution, based on volunteer work in the public interest, carries out numerous volunteering initiatives throughout Spain.

The alliance between the UOC and the Spanish Red Cross has a significant track record in diverse fields. In 2019 they began a collaboration to promote volunteer work focused on digital and computer literacy programmes, mentoring and after-school support programmes for children and adolescents, and support programmes for socially at-risk migrants.

Although the collaboration prioritizes the programmes mentioned above, current regulations allow Bachelor students to request credit recognition for any volunteer work you do with any local assembly of the Spanish Red Cross in any autonomous community from 2019 onwards.

To sign up, first register using the volunteer form you will find below (available in Spanish only) and specify where you want to volunteer. Once you have registered, the Spanish Red Cross will be in touch to schedule an interview, provide you with information about the projects they have underway and ultimately find the one that best suits your preferences.

It is very important that in this interview you identify yourself as a UOC student or UOC alumni so that they take note of your affiliation.
