What does the project consist of?

We are looking for students who want to take on the role of Game and Culture Facilitator Volunteer. The activity will take place at Vall d'Hebron Hospital (Barcelona). The main task will be leading recreational sessions and sharing board game sessions with long-stay patients (people recovering from severe fractures, transplants, elderly people…). The goal of this initiative is to bring games to these patients to make their stay more pleasant.

What profile are we looking for?

People with a genuine interest in games, the ability to work in a team, and the skills to adapt communication to different patients. Extensive gaming experience is a plus, but if not, training will be provided on the available games and how to tailor them to specific situations.

Shared values: Commitment to a playful mindset, inclusion, feminism, equity, sustainability, and culture.

Legal requirements: If the hospital activity ends up involving work with minors, it will be mandatory to submit an up-to-date background check for sexual offenses.

Contact: Send an email to info@fundacioelcercle.cat mentioning that you are a UOC student and would like to join the foundation's volunteer program.
