Fundesplai
The Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai (Fundesplai) develops volunteer programs related to socio-educational activities with children and adolescents in the field of leisure through recreational centers (esplais) and schools; mentorship projects for the support and guidance of young people, as well as environmental education initiatives, mainly in nature facilities during non-school periods.
The LGTBIQ+ mentoring program stands out for its goal of promoting the empowerment of people within the community through a social mentoring process aimed at youth aged 16 to 29. The program adopts an intersectional perspective, aiming to embrace diverse realities, combat all forms of discrimination, and foster social inclusion.
- Duration: approximately six to eight months.
- Location: Barcelonès, Baix Llobregat, and the metropolitan area.
- Format: LGTBIQ+ mentoring is carried out in person, at the location, dates, and times agreed upon with the mentee. In addition, related activities (various workshops) take place once a month, with efforts made to adapt to participants' availability.
