ONCE
ONCE is a non-profit organization founded in 1938 that seeks to improve the quality of life of its severely visually impaired members. Its social services aim to help its members become as self-sufficient as possible and live independently to the extent permitted by each individual's abilities and potential.
ONCE has several volunteering schemes designed to improve the personal autonomy and social inclusion of blind or severely visually impaired people.
Volunteering opportunities are available for the following programmes:
- Support and company programme: Taking people to the doctor, to the shops or for a walk, or simply keeping them company.
- Information access programme: Reading them documents, books and letters, helping them fill in forms, and providing other similar assistance.
- Sports programme: Taking part in physical or sports activities with members.
- Cultural and recreational programme: Going on cultural or other outings, visiting museums, and similar activities.

Recognition of volunteer activities
If you are enrolled on a bachelor's degree, you can apply for credit recognition for your volunteer time as long as you have participated with one of our partner organizations.
