For official programmes, students with disabilities if 33% or more are entitled to discounts on enrolment and on some other procedures. Also, 5% of places on bachelors and university master's degrees are reserved for these students.

You can find more information in Procedures / Discounts / Discounts for disabled people or victims of terrorism or gender-based violence.

If you have some form of disability or a specific educational needs, there are various ways we can adapt your teaching.

Once your enrolment is completed, the adaptation options you can ask for include:

  • Provide more personalized support and attention in those cases where it might be required, for example, when there are difficulties with submitting an activity.
  • In language courses, for students with hearing impairments or other justifiable needs, replacement of the oral assignment with a written adaptation.
  • For hearing or visual impairments, you can request the adaptation of learning resources if needed.

You can apply from Procedures / Other procedures / Teaching adaptations for people with special educational needs.

With the aim of making the course materials as accessible as possible, the University offers them in a variety of formats. If you cannot access the material for a course, you can notify this to the Help Service or your tutor.

  • If you are a member of ONCE (Spanish Association for the Blind), you can ask for the materials to be transcribed into Braille. Bear in mind that the transcription may take between three and four months. Therefore, you must send the request to ONCE sufficiently beforehand and ask your tutor to send the materials for the courses you will be following to this organization.

If you have special needs and would like to request an adaptation to the final assessment tests, go to Procedures / Assessment and final tests / Adaptations to final tests for special needs.

We offer an individual and personalized careers guidance service for people with disabilities, to help you look for employment opportunities and to improve your career development.

We can help you by…

  • Designing a personalized learning plan to spark your career.
  • Reinforcing your competencies and skills, highlighting your strengths to help you achieve your goals.
  • Sharing knowledge of the job market in your sector and identifying opportunities.

This is an online service provided exclusively for UOC students and graduates. You can access it in the Appointments section of the UOC Career Center.

The UOC takes into account the special needs stated by members of the University community when it organizes on-site activities, such as the graduation ceremony or activities at its regional centres.
